Welcome to Vale Life

What’s not to love about the Spring? Crocuses and daffodils swaying in a gentle breeze, drinking coffee outside in the Spring sunshine, new season fashions hanging beguilingly in boutiques, cheeks bearing a rosy glow and a definite spring in our step. Ah, life is good…

Here at Vale Life, life is very good. We've met some lovely people doing great business and we'd like to share them with you. A firm favourite of ours, owner and chef extraordinaire Kami Soroush of The New Red Lion in Pendoylan will be bringing you his Cooking With Kami series and in this issue, he starts this regular feature with one of his favourites, Roasted Cajun Sea Bass with Mango and Avocado Salsa.

Spring is always a good time to spruce up your home and, with our interior design feature, we feature the best of the best interior designers in Cardiff and the Vale.

Who wants to cook Sunday lunch when you can have it cooked for you. Check out our Sunday Best feature and you can choose where next to spend your Sunday afternoon and Spring wouldn't be Spring without a spot of gardening. Our resident gardening expert Bob Priddle offers advice for our green fingered friends. Also this issue, Vale Life is delighted to welcome Hawkes Eye, which delivers a seasonal fashion fix for men across the Vale and beyond. Russell Hawkes is the owner of the hugely successful gentleman's outfitters Hawkes Essentials in Cardiff's Morgan Arcade. What Russell doesn't know about what constitutes an impeccably dressed man frankly isn't worth knowing about. Russell will also be contributing to our online blog.

We're expanding our online blog and we're sure that Russell's contribution along with other writers will soon become very popular.
If you haven't checked it out head over to the website.

If you’ve got a story to tell or feel you’d like to contribute to the magazine in some way, we’d love to hear from you. Please email me at jennifer@valelife.co.uk
