SOUTHERNDOWN
Slade Farm Organics
well bred meat
from Wales
Nestled on the spectacular
Heritage Coastline of the Vale of
Glamorgan, Slade Farm is an
organic farm where care for the
environment and animal welfare
always come first. Pigs, cattle and
sheep are bred at Slade Farm,
then reared slowly and naturally,
ensuring maximum flavour is
enjoyed.
Owners Peter and Rosamund Davies
are totally in tune with the land, the
seasons and the wellbeing of the
animals. All meat that is produced at
Slade Farm benefits from being
additive-free and only feed grown on
the farm is fed to the animals.
Having won a prestigious national
environmental award for the way in
which Slade Farm is managed, the
quality is evident in every joint, chop
of steak that carries the Slade Farm
name. As well as traditional joints and
cuts, sausages, bacon and a small
range of farm-produced charcuterie
are also available.
Produce is available seven days a
week, direct from the farm.
The pigs at Slade Farm Organics are
Gloucester Old Spots, one of the
heritage rare breeds of Britain,
renowned for their character, health
and great flavour when cooked.
All animals spend as much time
outside on the fields as possible and
their welfare is paramount when
being sent to be processed, travelling
as short a distance as possible.
As with everything at Slade Farm
Organics, the ultimate test is in the
eating. Peter and Rosamund hope all
their customers will agree; this is
truly ‘well bred meat from Wales’.
