Ask anyone which room is the most
important to them in their home and
invariably they’ll say the kitchen.
ROOM FOR LIVING
When it comes to choosing a
company to design your kitchen,
you need to shop wisely to find a
company that understands your
vision and who can design and
build a kitchen that not only
functions well but meets the
needs of your home and family.
One such company is Room for
Living in Cowbridge. First class
kitchens combine vision, design,
individuality and practicality. With
over twenty years’ experience, the
Room For Living team cater for all
tastes and styles, from classical and
traditional hand painted, to cuttingedge
contemporary chrome.
They have an impressive website
where you can see which styles they
have on offer but to truly get a feel
for what you’re looking for, I would
suggest you visit their showroom at
Willow Walk in Cowbridge.
We asked owner Mike McNabb to sum
up why he’s passionate about the
kitchens Room for Living design.
“By only accepting a small number of
commissions every year and offering
bespoke design ensures that we give
the customer the time and dedication
needed to create something we’ll
both be proud of.
The kitchen won’t just look good on
the day it’s finished. Our design and
choice of materials will ensure that it
still works well and looks great
twenty years from now.”
We visited Sarah Smith of Cowbridge,
a recent customer of Room for Living
and asked her opinion on the process
of design and why she ultimately
chose Room for Living.
We had planned to build an extension to house a new kitchen for some time and we wanted a lifestyle kitchen as we love to have friends and family around and needed one that would be both a focal point for these occasions, and also suitable for every day living.
We approached four local kitchen companies and discussed our planned layout and budget. At the time we were open minded about the type of units and work tops we would choose. Room For Living have a showroom in Cowbridge, close to my office, and I had been keeping my eye on their displays, which impressed me, for some time.
We found their designer to be very helpful and willing to help us develop our ideas. We were impressed with his suggestions and his advice on worktops and accessories. Our eventual decision to increase the width of our kitchen by an important 400mm was calmly received by the kitchen designer and then, before our very eyes, one Saturday morning we could visualise how the overall concept would work in practice.
The process from ordering to delivery and then installation was seamless. The fitting team were great. They came to start work on the exact date and time and were highly professional in every way and even making sure all the appliances worked (also setting the salt dispenser in the dishwasher) and leaving the kitchen spotless.
I have to admit to adding on a few extras (such as a warming drawer) but we are absolutely thrilled to bits, and would not hesitate in recommending Room For Living. They are true professionals!
Sarah Smith, Cowbridge
“Let’s face it,
apart from when
we’re asleep,
we’re in the
kitchen for much
of our waking
hours. We cook,
eat and socialise
it in so it needs
to be right.”
