SULLY
City PA’s talent pool
City PA is pleased to announce the
growth of its team in Sully with
the addition of Jane Close. Jane’s
appointment ties in with City PA’s
policy to utilise the highly
talented but vastly overlooked,
pool of professional PAs who are
‘women-returners’.
Jane is highly skilled as a board level
PA and brings valuable experience to
enhance the existing City PA team.
City PA provide flexible PA and
secretarial support to semi-retired and
non-executive directors, consultants,
SMEs and the public sector.
Clients are already commenting on
how professional and friendly Jane is
and Jane herself says “I was frustrated
that I could not find a position that
would utilise my skill set but City PA
has given me the opportunity to use
my skills and experience whilst
working flexibly to suit the needs of
my family. And the concept of a
‘virtual PA’ who can work remotely
from our office and still offer the
same high level of service to
executives who have lost the use of a
full time PA is brilliant.”
City PA’s managing director, Deborah
Meredith, added “We guarantee the
quality and standard of service we give
to our clients and place strict criteria
on our recruitment requirements.
There is a huge pool of talent that is
wasted by employers who do not offer
flexible working to women returners – our aim is to recruit from that pool
and ensure our clients get the quality
of service they demand whilst our
team get the working hours that suit
their needs and utilise all of their skills
and experience.”

DINAS POWYS
The Huntsman team
All businesses know that their
staff work better as a team, and at
The Huntsman in Dinas Powys,
they really put this into practice.
Hilary and Peter have recruited
enthusiastic staff from Dinas Powys to
work in the restaurant. They start at
fourteen as dish washers and then
progress into the dining room as
waiters and waitresses. Do they like
working for the owners? You bet
they do. “We get taken on staff trips,
sometimes to a Chinese restaurant
and then onto the cinema. They look
after us really well,” said Felicity.
“In return for hard work, we have
learned vital people skills and
discipline. Hilary and Peter also work
around our school commitments and
they trust us to work our shifts
around each other.” Proud owners,
Peter and Hilary said, “Our customers
get to know our staff really well.
Many of them come back to us time
after time so the waiters know what
they want immediately. We’re
looking forward to Sam, our youngest
recruit, joining us soon.”

Quit with George!
George Savva is a man on a
mission. He is passionate about
helping smokers who really want
to give up and kick the habit.
A habit is a learned behaviour;
and you can train your brain to
learn a different behaviour.

When people feel the need for a
cigarette the chances are they’re
feeling the need for something else,
i.e. to satisfy a possible thirst or
hunger - but the brain interprets this
as a need for a cigarette.
George has been helping people
improve their lives by stopping
smoking for 15 years. “It is one of the
most dramatic life changing decisions
smokers can make, not just for
themselves but for the people they
love, and the people who love them”
George states. When someone suffers
from a smoking related disease, it
does not just affect their life, it affects
many lives.
“Stopping smoking is very simple”
George states, “but don’t confuse
simple with easy. Simple is not
necessarily easy. However, If people
are halfway willing to work with me”,
insists George, “then, they will stop
smoking”
