An Evening with Harry Secombe

Sir Harry Secombe and Spike Milligan met during WW2. Afterwards, Spike said that he had lost his sanity and Harry said he had lost his glasses. A friendship grew that gave birth to The Goons, who changed the face of British comedy.

From Christmas dinner at Windsor Castle to Christmas puddings in the Crimea, from Mr. Pickwick’s Christmas to Charles Dickens’ delightful description of the Christmas Tree, newly introduced to this country by Prince Albert.

This promises to be a hugely enjoyable evening of poems, prose, letters and journals illuminated with music by Mendelssohn, Prince Albert, Handel, Liszt, Balfe, Telemann, Rimsky-Korsakoff, Scott Joplin, and traditional Christmas music. Make sure you book your tickets early!
