If you’re looking for quality antiques and collectables then Penarth’s new family run antiques shop is sure to have just what you’re looking for. Gitti and Stephen Cox have both lived in Penarth for over 20 years and have been in the antiques business for the same length of time.

What can customers expect when they walk in?
A whole host of interesting and unusual items from Georgian to contemporary pieces. Here you can find furniture, porcelain, pottery, glass, pictures, militaria, model trains, metalware, books and much, much more.

How do you source your items?
We travel the length and breadth of England and Wales sourcing interesting objet d’art from fairs and auctions and private dwellings. We’ve a lot more stock in the basement at the shop and even more at home that we’ve collected over the years.

How often does stock change?
On a regular basis. We have customers that like to call in once or twice a week and very often see something new which might catch their eye.

What’s popular at the moment?
It’s hard to say. It’s a personal thing. What appeals to one person might not have the same appeal to the next.

Are you glad you chose Penarth?
Absolutely! Gitti did trade from the Cowbridge Antiques Centre before that closed but having lived in Penarth for over 20 years, we’d always wanted to open a shop here. We’ve had fantastic support from local businesses and residents alike, so yes, the right decision.
