WELCOME

Ah how quickly autumn comes around. Soon the nights will be drawing in and we'll all be thinking of what this season means to us - warmer clothing, getting the garden prepared for the spring, perhaps changing our interior furnishings to richer autumnal colours and getting out that crockpot in readiness for those warming stews and casseroles.

If you haven't changed your wardrobe from summer to winter yet, then our fashion features will give you the inspiration you should need. Pen and paper at the ready and that goes for all you male Vale Life readers as well as you ladies!

Now is also a good time to spruce up your home or give it a whole new look altogether. What better way to do this than a new kitchen? We chat to a couple of Vale Life readers who did just that and it changed their lives. If you're happy with where you are but need extra space, then what about adding another room by way of an orangery? A real change from a conservatory, these rooms can bring the garden in and take the living space out.

Hands up who hates having their photograph taken but would like natural shots of either yourself, your family or even your animals? Let Maryanne Hawes of Light and Day Photography bring out the best in you and yours. We've also got a bumper feature on the market town of Cowbridge. This is definitely a destination town where you can shop until you drop and find something that's not on the High Street. I hope you enjoy this autumn issue and hope you get one before they all go!

See you in the winter.
