About Me
I was brought up surrounded by a variety of different animals; dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, goats and horses. My mum and my aunt instilled in me a love of horses that has never waned so it seemed a natural step to combine my love of horses with my love of photography.

Business activities, products and services
I run a horse and pony photography business and specialise in horse and pony portraits. I travel to yards and private stables to photograph horses in their natural surroundings and also provide photographic coverage at horse shows and events.

I can also provide photographs for stud cards/brochures and websites.

Customers can purchase a variety of different products with photos of their horse including framed prints, canvasses and acrylic prints.

How did I get this far?
Determination and perseverance

What drives me?
My love of photography and horses and a burning desire to succeed

For just one day I'd like to walk in the shoes of...
Carrie Bradshaw, well, she does have fabulous shoes!

My last supper would be
char-grilled salmon with dauphinoise potatoes

Album that changed my life
I don't have a great deal of time for listening to music but when I'm in my car, I listen to songs on my iPod. One of my favourite songs is called 'Chip on my shoulder' from the musical Legally Blonde, it's all about being determined and putting in the work to get where you want to be.

Books that influenced me the most
Probably the woks of Terry Pratchett and John Grisham because they are so well written and they always inspired me to keep on with my own writing

Early bird or night owl?
Definitely a night owl. I suffer from parasomnia so I generally go to bed about 2 or 3 in the morning

Most significant travel moment
Going to Kentucky for the World Equestrian Games

Places I love
My village, Kentucky, New York, Disney Land and the Brecon Beacons

My mentors
I had a business mentor from Venture Wales who was really helpful. Now I look to a few of my photographer friends who are always on hand to offer me advice. I am continually inspired by my friend Scarlett who is one of the best horse photographers I know. Though she lives in Kentucky, I class her as one of my best friends.

When I'm not working I love.
Sleeping and, surprisingly, taking photos. It's nice to go out and get photos that are just for me

Five things to do before I pop my clogs
Get my photos published in Horse and Hound, go back to Kentucky, live in New York, write and publish a book, own a dog called Wot

Life-changing moment
Well, there have been quite a few but possibly the biggest was the day my first niece was born. Becoming an aunty was the best experience of my life

The cynic in me says
I'm too optimistic to be cynical

My bugbears are
hypocrites and liars, people who leave their windscreen wipers on when it's not raining and drivers who leave huge gaps between them and the car in front in traffic jams

Creed I live by
Treat others the way you would wish to be treated

I'm best described as
Totally random and slightly crazy with a warped sense of humour

Little known facts about me
I was born with the umbilical cord around my neck and dislocated hips, I'm allergic to nickel and pineapple, I am a distant relative of David Lloyd George and I once interviewed the head of Nasa's Johnson Space Centre

3 strengths
Determination, loyalty and dedication
