IN WITH THE NEW

We take a look at what's new in
Cowbridge and Pontyclun

The villages of Cowbridge and Pontyclun are only six miles apart and with plenty of things on both High Streets to investigate and keep you occupied, you'll find that there's plenty enough in both destinations to explore in a day.

Cowbridge
The historic market town of Cowbridge is a community that mixes a traditional community with all modern amenities and, of course, plenty of fine shops and eateries. All this combines to make it a 'must visit' destination to while away an hour or two. You'll find everything from hotels to haberdasheries; children's clothes to chemists and interiors to tailoring services.

Pontyclun
Only 5 minutes from the M4, the village of Pontyclun and neighbouring Talbot Green and Llantrisant makes for a worthwhile day out. Easy road access to Cardiff and the Vale and a mainline rail link connects Pontyclun to Cardiff.

Betty and Jack

Tucked away off the High Street in Cowbridge is one of the cutest shops for finding designer and pre-loved children's clothes at discounted prices for boys and girls aged newborn to 12 years.

Betty and Jack opened just four months ago to bring quality brands that your children will love to snuggle into, such as the exclusive Poppy & Ned London in luxurious cashmere and the purest cotton.

Little Miss Sophie is a quirky collection made entirely from Norwegian fabrics and is available in the UK only at Betty and Jack.

They recognise how quickly children grow out of clothes and therefore take in pre-loved, excellent condition garments and sell them alongside the new brands, which appeals to anyone who has to invest in clothes that will be worn a few times.

A selection of locally crafted baby gifts, pre-walker booties, pumps and wellies are available and there is an area where children can play to their heart's content with books and crayons. It's amazing what's been done in such a small space - you'll love it.
