Sugo - a taste of Covent Garden in the Vale

Friends of ours have recently introduced us to a great little restaurant in Penarth called Sugo. I've eaten at its sister restaurant, Cibo, in Pontcanna and have always been impressed.

We've eaten at Sugo three times over recent months and have been impressed not only by the food but also the atmosphere. Each time, we've enjoyed a particularly chilled and relaxed atmosphere.

Recently we were there in the early evening, the sun was shining and the doors were open on to the road with people walking by - just for a moment it felt like being back in Covent Garden and, like Covent Garden, there are some great little shops nearby and free parking is just around the corner.

You can also take your own wine on Tuesdays to Thursdays which is an excellent idea and Arth Wines (see page 25) is conveniently situated just five minutes away if you need help with your selection. This is definitely one to try. Tell them Vale Life sent you.
