Thomas Sabo is internationally
recognised, having developed from
what was originally the secret
preserve of fashion insiders.
Vale Life talks to Mellissa Williams
of RMA Williams jewellers in
Porthcawl about this exciting
iconic Bavarian brand.
Why is Thomas Sabo so popular
with your customers?
It's fun and 'always in fashion'! The Thomas Sabo range is designed and produced to the highest quality but offered at a good price. The glossy magazines feature the charms and jewellery on a regular basis, and it has universal appeal from the seasonal collections that follow the current fashion trends, to the classic and the unisex Rebel at Heart collection.
The charms and charm bracelets make great affordable gifts at prices from £15.95. We find they're really popular for special birthdays such as 18th, 21st and 40th in particular, and also for saying 'I Love You' or 'Well Done'.
Have you extended your range?
We have taken on the jewellery collection in the last couple of months and it is selling really well - it's so, so popular. We have a website and the quirky pieces like the Thomas Sabo Diver Pendant are selling very well online.
Any new 'must haves' in the range for the summer?
The new collections feature bright bold flowers and nautical designs such as sharks and submarines. The Starfish pendant is a summer 'must have' as well as the Submarine and the VW camper van that's going down well with the festival goers and the dreamers. The Strawberry locket is absolutely beautiful and is on my own wish list for summer!
Does Thomas Sabo appeal to all age ranges?
We think so. We've had more mature customers buying charm bracelets for Christenings, little girls seem to like the Disney and Barbie charms and big girls love the jewellery collection. |
