VALEWIDE
Service with a smile goes the extra mile!
In these uncertain times, it's important for every business to make extra effort to ensure customers receive the best possible service. There's an old Chinese proverb that goes something like "Man who cannot smile, should not open shop".
We've had good and bad service over recent months in shops and restaurants across the Vale. It's important to reward great service and it's important to not reward bad service so, if you have a positive experience tell them and, equally if you've had a negative experience, make sure you let the business owner know as it's not always the owner who you may have received the bad service from.
Recently I was chatting to a businessperson in the Vale who had recently spent a lot of time trawling the shops and the internet looking for a set of jewellery to complement an outfit. She finally found what she wanted in Anastasia Beads in High Street, Barry and couldn't praise them enough and was keen to let me know how good they were, which is a fine example of how a positive experience can be passed on as well as the bad ones. If you're in business remember that everyone is a potential customer.
