Big things have started to happen
at Arth Wines in Penarth's Station Approach with re-design plans afoot for the New Year. In the meantime, however, we've got Christmas to get through and where else would you go for all your festive tipple needs?
Let's start with their fabulous funky cold storage area for white wines and beers. Drawing inspiration from the Australian-style bottle shops, they have a specially designed walk-in chiller room where you can see the wines at a glance and peruse at your leisure - be sure to wear your woolly hat and gloves though!
Recognising a need for a more shopper friendly environment, owner Richard Silk has knocked down walls, revealed hidden doors and created more space to house his exciting new plans for the months to come. Until then, his focus is definitely on keeping party-goers happy, dinner party wine flowing and providing a nice bottle for cosy nights in. One thing's for sure, this is not your run-of-the-mill wine shop - expect something quirky and creative; take for instance the gothic-decorated bottles for a range of French wines that have just arrived and in perfect time for Christmas gifts.
So what's in store for wine lovers? Well, this is the time to choose wines to last you from now through to the New Year. On offer are specially chosen mixed cases (two whites, three reds and a dessert wine) at three competitive price points to provide options that are, reasonably priced, mid-range and premium. And don't forget the bubbles, sparkles and fizz to make this a Christmas to remember.
