Funders flock to VCVS' "Funding Fair"

Voluntary and community groups will have the opportunity to meet and talk to a variety of major funders at the "Funding Fair" organised by the Vale Centre for Voluntary Services. The event, which is free to all groups serving the Vale, will be held between 11(am) and 4(pm) at The Hub, Barry YMCA on Tuesday 4 th March.

The list of participating funders includes the Big Lottery Fund, BBC Children in Need, Comic Relief, The Sports Council for Wales , Environment Wales and Business in the Community.

Dave Edwards, VCVS Funding & Development Officer who is organising the event said, "The ability to access funding is vital for many groups, large or small. The "Funding Fair" offers them the opportunity to speak face to face with funding organisations and to obtain advice and guidance on what they will fund. Groups will be able to take advantage of this opportunity by calling into the Hub during the morning or afternoon."
