The Blue Pelican Café at Hamptons in Penarth was transformed on Easter Sunday for the annual Hamptons Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

A huge inflatable rose briar, giant easter eggs, daisy's and balloons changed the café from it's usual relaxed style into a magical Alice in Wonderland setting.

Children (and grown ups) enjoyed a traditional children's tea party - hosted by the Mad Hatter - complete with sandwiches, sausages on sticks, cakes, jam tarts ( made by the Queen of Hearts herself) and jellies.

Party games, led by the Mad Hatter, Alice and the Knave of Hearts included guess the number of Easter Bunnies hiding in the café, Simon Says and Pass the Parcel. All the children won prizes and the Knave of Hearts was very poorly at the end after stealing most of the jam tarts!
