Vale Healthcare expands Cardiff Bay Clinic
Vale Healthcare Ltd, the joint venture that combines the strengths of a national not-forprofit healthcare operator, Nuffield Health, with the commitment of prominent consultants in the area – has expanded its offering at its superb new clinic facility with the addition of two new clinics within six months of its Cardiff Bay Clinic launch.
The twelve existing clinics encompass the full medical spectrum including cardiology, ophthalmology, urology, dermatology and orthopaedics, whilst the two new clinics cover cosmetics and sports medicine.
Cosmetics Clinic
The cosmetics clinic provides a wide range of procedures from plastic surgery and non-invasive breast augmentation – using the latest Macrolane technique – to botox. The clinic, which will be led by specialist surgeons – will also offer noninvasive body shaping techniques for men including chest and calves.
Sports Medicine Clinic
The Consultants at the Cardiff Bay Clinic have an established track record working with Welsh and international sports stars and, as a result, they have exceptional knowledge in the area of sports medicine that can be transferred to all patients. This has led to the establishment of the specialist sports medicine clinic, where the sports physicians and surgeons assess and diagnose all sporting injuries, and work closely with the rehabilitation team to provide physiotherapy rehabilitation, osteopathy treatment and dietary biomechanical assessment.
In addition, the Cardiff Bay Clinic provides a rapid access breast care clinic led by three specialist breast consultants, working closely with breast radiologists. They utilise leading MRI technology, alongside traditional methods of mammography and ultrasound, to diagnose and treat patients as quickly and effectively as possible. The Cardiff Bay Clinic is the only clinic in south Wales to offer a breast MRI service.
