CARDIFF
Bravissimo in drive to support Wales

With research showing that 80 percent of women are wearing the wrong size bra, Bravissimo, the lingerie retailer for women with bigger boobs is stepping up its efforts in Wales to empower women with an understanding of how a bra looks and feels when it fits well.

One of the most common problems identified by staff at the Cardiff Bravissimo store during bra fittings is customers wearing a bra that is too big in the back and too small in the cup. Wearing the wrong size bra can cause neck, shoulder and back ache due to the weight of the boobs pulling the bra up at the back, wearing an unsupportive bra means that your muscles have to do all of the work.

Cardiff store manager, Claire Wilcox, said, "Discovering your true bra size can be life changing. It's so easy to underestimate how much your figure, and the way you feel about yourself can be transformed by the right bra. Our customers often comment that their friends thought they had lost weight after a bra fitting, because they looked so different."

As part of Bravissimo's efforts to support Wales, the Cardiff store in Queen's Arcade was visited last week by the Wales Women's Rugby team for a bra fitting. Rugby team Captain Mellissa Berry said, "Visiting the Cardiff Bravissimo has been an interesting experience for the squad, and we were surprised to learn that a lot of us were not the bra size we thought we were. The girls found the bra-fitting worthwhile, and thanks to Bravissimo will be more conscious of getting properly fitted in future."

Claire continues, "We are delighted that the Wales Women's Rugby team is helping us get the message across to women in Wales and further afield about the benefits wearing the right size bra. With eight out of ten women regularly wearing the wrong size, the implications long-term can range from general discomfort to back and shoulder problems. We also want to show women that having bigger boobs, needn't be a barrier to positive self-esteem or to looking great."

Bravissimo, which was set up in 1995 by founder and chief executive Sarah Tremellen prides itself on being inclusive and friendly, so there is an open invitation to call into the Cardiff store in Queen's Arcade, or any of the other 19 outlets throughout the UK and speak to a team of professional bra fitters who are on hand to spend as much time as you like helping you to find the perfect bra for you.
