COWBRIDGE
Huw Johns
Friends joined Cowbridge resident, marketing man, copywriter and keyboard player Huw Johns in celebrating his birthday at Bar 44 in Cowbridge.
The wine was flowing well into the evening as was the very tasty tapas that Bar 44 is now well known for.

St Davids Hotel
St David's Day official launch of the fabulous new restaurant Tempus at Tides.
A VIP list had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the official Magnificent Morsels launch of Tempus At Tides, the new restaurant at The St David's Hotel and Spa in Cardiff.
Guests were greeted with the harmonious voices of The Cardiff Arms Park Male Voice Choir, and were then able to sample morsels of gastronomic gorgeousness from the new menu, accompanied by Welsh inspired cocktails, to the sounds of a jazz band.

Arthritis Research UK raised
some £6000 from its annual St David's Ball in Cardiff's City Hall.
Income was boosted on the night by an auction and by donations from the photography service provided by Life First Photography of Rhiwbina. The evening included a champagne reception, five-course dinner, and entertainment from Big Mac and his Wholly Soul band and Browns Disco.
"The evening was a great success," said Fred Johnson, regional fundraising manager. "Life First's photography proved very popular, and really helped our funds."
