AMELIA TRUST
Set on a 160 acre lowland site in the middle of the Vale, The Amelia Trust is a working farm with a variety of livestock that gives free access to anyone who wishes to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.
Visitors are welcome to explore the farm and surrounding play areas and nature walks, with the possibility of pre-booking barbeque sites or hiring the use of other facilities. There is even a a self-catering hostel for those who wish to make a longer stay!
All these facilities and more are used on a daily basis by disaffected young people and adults with learning difficulties, who travel from across south Wales to train, to experience and to share positive changes in their lives.
Set in a tranquil, rural setting open all to enjoy, The Amelia Trust provides valuable educational training and recreational facilities specifically to young people who would be otherwise denied access to them.
Whilst their main work focuses on young people with disaffection, emotional and/or behavioral difficulties, the general public can, without charge, visit daily to freely explore the countryside and all that it has to offer.
Believing in the human spirit The Amelia Trust know that with support, care and respect, individuals can experience positive changes in their lives. The small team at the Trust provides that support and is the backbone to the whole project.
New developments for the Trust include the prospect of further buildings, business plans and partnerships. In order to secure what they have and continue to build on their success they need to ensure continued support.
If you feel that you would you like to become a part of Amelia’s future please contact them by phone on 01446 782030 or visit their
