Vale Marketing Group’s Food in Tourism
The recent Vale Marketing Group networking event ‘Food in Tourism’ was hailed a great success. Over 80 businesses attended the event, held in the elegant surrounding of the St Quentin Suite in The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge.
Andrew Davies AM opened proceedings with an animated and enthusiastic address outlining the link between regional food and tourism and underlining the importance of tourism to our economy.
The speakers, Sandy Greenslade from the Monmouthshire based Adventa, winners of the food in Tourism award last year, and Angharad Wynne (Sense of Place) gave excellent presentations giving rise to many questions from the audience. Mandy Davies, VMG Chair said, “It was good to see a wide variety of businesses represented, not only the VMG business members, but associated bodies and producers and to welcome new faces to the group.”
Many, many thanks to the VMG committee, volunteers to the last, without all your efforts and dedication all that we have achieved, and aim to achieve in the future, would not be possible.
