Welcome back to these hugely popular matinee concerts - lovely afternoons spent with friends in the relaxed music café atmosphere of our beautiful Glassroom with, of course, free tea and cake and stunning coastal views! Rory wowed our matinee audiences when he first played for us last year.

Now this leading young classical guitarist and chamber musician returns to play more beautiful music having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with a 1st in 2007 and winning numerous competitions.

School’s Out Rocks with Major Music

This fantastic organisation, based in Llantwit provides opportunities for young people to create music whilst improving self-esteem, confidence and skills. Hundreds of young musicians, singers and music technicians go through its doors each week and some have gone on to further education and training in the music professions.

This performance showcases the talent of these young people and promises an evening of great music, singing and playing.

Bored with summer holidays? Get yourself down to the arts centre for our fantastic West End singing and acting Summer School. Specially-created for 5 to 18 year olds, this week-long course will have you dancing, singing and enjoying all the classic musicals currently showing in the West End including High School Musical, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You, The Sound of Music, Hairspray, The Lion King and Wicked. You’ll then be on stage in a performance for your family and friends.



The ethos is pure encouragement and fun. We offer an open access policy, so that means you and your friends will not be auditioned and you will not need any previous experience.

St Donats Arts Centre is thrilled to welcome back Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, with its unique style of openair performance to Wales. This year on the August Bank Holiday Monday, the company performs Shakespeare’s most popular romantic comedy following the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of amateur actors and their interactions with the Duke and Duchess of Athens and the fairies who inhabit a moonlit forest. Don’t forget to bring your picnic along!

Mr Acker Bilk – clarinettist, band leader, composer and worldwide icon for traditional jazz - is synonymous with his famous bowler hat and striped waistcoat. Along with his Paramount Jazz Men he is one of the most successful and best loved British jazz musicians of all time. Get your tickets early – they will be highly sought-after for as a special Pimms reception, the glorious setting of the Bradenstoke Hall and the cream of the UK’s current jazz talent (Enrico Tomasso on Trumpet, Ian Bateman on Trombone and John Day on Bass all combine to make this a very special concert for his final year on the road.
