On the 11th November 2007, the Memorial Hall and Theatre marked its 75th anniversary with the rededication of the Hall of Memory and Cenotaph following extensive refurbishment. Over 2,000 visitors attended the celebration.

The Memorial Hall and Theatre in Barry, has over its 75 year history, played a major part in the cultural lives of Barry residents and those further a field. Situated near the Waterfront, the venue has a valued reputation for presenting a broad programme of professional theatre, music and dance events.

As well as a regarded and respected place in which to work, rest and play, the Memorial Hall and Theatre is also a popular and established venue for corporate gatherings, conferences, weddings, family events and hospitality.

The Venue can host events with required capacities for over 1,000 guests and intimate occasions. As well as the range of spaces, our experienced staff provide event management services to ensure the successful delivery of all our events, large or small.

A Venue for TV, Film and Production A number of film and production companies have hired the Venue for site-specific film, TV and music broadcast production. The Memorial Hall and Theatre regularly facilitates the production needs for small and medium-scale theatre and large live music events, and provides professional technical services to ensure the optimum sound and lighting presentation for its event.

The Memorial Hall and Theatre has an exciting programme of events programmed for the New Year. Our theatre highlights include Guy Masterson’s brilliant solo interpretation of Under Milk Wood, Oscar Wilde's most popular and razor witted comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, and an evening of sexy Salsa music with the hot and sassy Salsa Celtica.
